Velma Louise Lorenz was born to Willie and Louise (Speckman) Schmidt on October 18, 1929, in Wellston. She died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Wellston, at the age of 92 years.
Lorenz, a 1947 graduate of Wellston High School, was a homemaker and made floral arrangements. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Louis Lorenz; four sons, John Lorenz, Roger Lorenz, Timothy Lorenz and Jerry Lorenz; one grandson; and her son-inlaw Danny Berry.
Survivors include her daughter Christina Berry and her husband Mohammed Belgamra of Wellston; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A funeral was held Monday, January 3, 2022, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Wellston. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
