Richard James “Rick” Knight, 81, of Oklahoma City was born to Charley George and Beatrice Elizabeth (Dossey) Fisher on Nov. 25, 1940. He died Friday, Dec. 24, 2021.
A 1958 graduate of Meeker High School, Rick worked as a forester in Oregon before driving a truck for Sylvania and Pinkerton. He owned Knight’s Auto Center and Value Thrift Store and retired from the railroad.
Preceding him in death were his parents and former wives, Mary Teresa Hoyle and Glenda Knight.
Survivors include his wife Sophia Knight of the home; his children and their spouses, Randy and Lila Knight, Teri and Paul Hansen, Christopher and Tiasha Knight and Greg Farley; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Ellen Lam of Shawnee, Okla., and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Monday, January 3, 2022, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore, Okla., with burial following at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.
