Carl Edward Barrett of Nicoma Park, Okla., was born to Clarence and Patsy (Vann) Barrett on July 10, 1952, in Chandler. He died Sunday, January 2, 2022, in Oklahoma City after a brief battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.
Barrett served in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska in the early 70’s. Afterwards, he became a mechanic in the family business in Nicoma Park where he worked until his retirement.
He is survived by his son Kevin Barrett and granddaughter of Jenks, Okla.; five brothers, Larry Barrett of Luther, Okla., Dennis Barrett of Nicoma Park, Ernest Barrett of Stroud, James Barrett of Tecumseh, Okla., and Russell Barrett of Wellston; two sisters, Linda Thomas and Patty Gragg, both of Stroud; and other relatives and friends.
