Four counts for Stroud man

A Stroud man is facing four counts, three of them drug-related, following his arrest by Stroud police.

Formal charges were filed Jan. 14 in Lincoln County District Court against Bobby Don Stewart.

The charges include distribution of controlled dangerous substance— including possession with intent to distribute; possession of controlled dangerous substance; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; and driving with license canceled, suspended/ revoked.

Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk set his bond at $15,000 and he made his appearance on Jan. 18 and is to reappear at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.

Count 1, distribution of CDS including possession with intent to distribute, a felony, accuses Stewart, 38, of possessing methamphetamine on Jan. 9 this year in Stroud in Lincoln County with the intent to distribute.

The second charge, a misdemeanor, states Stewart had marijuana and didn’t have a valid prescription.

Count 3, another misdemeanor, accused him of possessing glass pipes which are used by abusers of drugs classified as CDS.

In Count 4, the third misdemeanor, Stewart is charged with operating a red Jeep Cherokee while his license was revoked by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
