Joe A. Long

Joe A. Long went to be with his Lord and Saviour February 9, 2022. Joe was 93 years old.

Joe was born April 6, 1928, in Longdale, Okla., to Addison and Dollie Long. He grew up on a farm helping his Dad and enjoying the outdoors.

Joe graduated from Longdale High School then attended Oklahoma State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture in 1950. He belonged to R.O.T.C. while in college.

Joe married the love of his life Pauline Edwards of Seiling, Okla., on August 20, 1949. To this union was born one son, Gary Joe and one daughter, Pamela.

They moved to Burlington, Colo., where Joe was engaged in farming and ranching for 31 years. In 1981, Joe and Pauline moved back to Oklahoma.

Joe accepted the Lord Jesus and was baptized at the Assembly of God Church in Burlington, Colo. He was deacon and head usher for many years. In Stroud, Joe was affiliated with Stroud First Assembly of God Church.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Pamela, granddaughter Jessica Turner, niece Claudia Bell and sister Genevieve Bell of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Joe is survived by his devoted, loving wife Pauline of the home; son Gary and wife Corrine of Prague; granddaughters Chelsea Neighbors and husband Sam of Edmond, Okla., and Camela Bailey of Prague; three great-grandsons, Brayden Bailey and wife Sarah of Asheville, N.C., Logan Bailey of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Jake Johnson of Edmond, Okla.; step-great grandson Hunter Neighbors of Edmond; niece Jeanette Meyer of Pueblo, Colo.; plus many more family and friends.

Joe will be greatly missed by all.

No service will be held. Burial will be in Burlington, Colo. at Fairview Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Love Funeral Home, Burlington.
