Robert Wayne Butler was born August 25, 1955 in Shawnee to Elard Lee Butler and Patricia (Holt). He passed away March 15, 2022 in Shawnee at the age of 66.
As a young man, Bob enjoyed baseball to which he both played and coached. He was a great provider his entire life. From a very young age he worked at a car wash earning enough money to buy a trailer for his family. Bob enjoyed fishing and camping and loved spending time with his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Elard Lee Butler and Patricia Danker; brothers, Elden Butler, Roy Butler; and his sister, Coetta Spencer. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Laveda (Schmidt) Butler of the home; children, Stacie Hancock and her husband John of Wellston, Joshua Butler and his wife Kristina of McLoud; sister, Sharon Irby of Wellston; grandchildren Bryce, Blake, and Dylan Baldwin, Maria Hancock, Ryker, and Rowdy Butler; great-grandchildren, Tryston, Wesley, Everett, and soon to come, Amelia Baldwin, Emma Baldwin, Kayden, Emersynn “Emmy” and Daxon Brumfield; along with other family and friends.
A funeral was held Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
