It may seem too far out to think about the kingdom of heaven. It is not for man, but if we follow Jesus He will take us right through that door. Flesh and blood cannot go through that door because it is spiritual. On the inside is only the action of God. Jesus was there, and if you saw Him you may not recognize Him because we would only see the flesh.
Jesus teaches us how to get away from the flesh from the beginning. If we taught our children how to grow up in the spirit of God they would live there all their life most likely. They would live in the shadow of The Lord.
My first exposure was when I was about five years old. There was a field at the bottom of a long hill. The family was working in this field, and I don’t know why, but I decided to go there not walking but running as fast as I could. I liked that hill because I could run about 110 mph down it I thought. As I did I was breathing hard, and as I ran I sucked a jaw breaker down my windpipe. I felt it go a long way down, and no air could pass. I knew I was in trouble because I needed air from running. All at once I felt as if someone grabbed my head and pulled it back a long ways and pulled both my arms and hands behind my back. I felt as if I was shoved down and hit the ground on my chest. When I hit the ground I felt the jaw breaker come loose and shoot out of my mouth. I guess with my head pulled back my mouth was open, and it may have cleared the airway. Nevertheless, I saw the jaw breaker shoot out in the air as my belly and chest hit the ground hard. I still could hardly breathe because of the saliva juice the jaw breaker had left in my windpipe.
I always liked to hear Mom tell about things The Lord did for her and how He helped her. She battled to walk in the spirit all her life and worked hard. She made sure we kids knew our actions were not to hurt anyone else. Nothing was allowed in her house that did not come by what was right.
What do you think would happen if you asked God to judge you now? I can tell you you would find out if you were out of the kingdom of God, and you would be corrected when you are out.
I think out of the 80% of Americans who call themselves Christians, many have stopped short of going through the gate. Only a few will go on through as the scripture says.
