Chandler Board of Education members this week approved the Estimate of Needs and the financial statements for 2022-2023 and also hired a couple of new employees.
School Supt. Scott Baade said the board hired Meghan Adee as an Aide at East Side Elementary School and employed Jack Kuczinski as a maintenance worker.
Baade explained the General Fund Estimate of Needs totals $10,841,792.02, the building fund is estimated at $837,965.45 and Child Nutrition Fund is $717,092.53.
He also pointed out, “We’re putting protective film on all entries to all of our schools. We’ve started and hope to be finished in the next couple of weeks.”
The board also accepted the resignation of Brittani Glossip (Smith).
Board members approved the proposed plan for the reapportionment of the board districts in order to fulfill the requirements of state law.
In other business, board members: Voted to approve an agreement with Employee Evaluation Systems, Inc., for the Oklahoma Teacher Leader Effectiveness (OKTLE) McRel Leader Evaluation program for the 2022-2023 school year.
Approved a service contract for Jennifer Counce for psychological testing and consultation services for the 2022-2023 school year.
Approved a request to add “Native American Student Association” to the list of sub-accounts in the activity fund for Fiscal Year 2022/2023.
Revised the policy GFK, “Disciplinary Action for Misuse of School Bathrooms and Changing Facilities.
Approved the revised extra duty schedule for the 2022/2023 school year.
Approved Alexander Reed as an adjunct teacher for one hour of seventh 7th-12th grade Health and Lori Smithey for six hours of Elementary Education.
Voted to approve the encumbrances for substitute teachers and for certified contracts and support employees who have contracts starting in September of 2022.
Approved the gifted and talented local advisory committee for FY23 including Gina McVey, Pam Anderson, Kelli Robbins and Ann Taylor.
