Robert James Broughton, 78, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Robert was born on Sunday, June 11, 1944, in Idaho Springs, Colorado, to Howard Nathan and Betty Ann (McGee-Bane) Broughton. He was a long-time resident of Chandler, Oklahoma.
Robert made his career as a OTR truck driver. At the time of his passing, he was retired. He enjoyed carpentry, yard work, coloring, and reading westerns.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Howard Broughton; his mother, Betty Broughton Sprague; and a sister, Carol Powell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Rebecca Broughton of Chandler; children, Trista Lackey of Shawnee, Ok, Jonathan Sanderson of Chandler, Robert Broughton II of Chandler, and Jennifer Broughton of Texas; grandchildren, Lillian Lackey, Raychel Lackey, and Arielle Lackey, all of Shawnee; sisters, Mary Lentz of Exeter, California, and Tara Broughton of Colorado; a brother, John Broughton of New Mexico; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
