A$20,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Chandler resident after charges were filed for his allegedly shooting at another man.
A formal felony charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was filed in Lincoln County District County District Court Oct. 3, 2023 against Ronald L Murray, Sr., 87.
Murray is accused on Sep. 9, 2023 without justifiable or excusable cause of shooting at Robert Love with the intent to injure him.
Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Kevin Chapman in a probable cause affidavit filed in the case states he responded to 346692 E. 850 Road, Chandler, within Lincoln County regarding a report of a disturbance.
He said prior to his arrival Murray and Love were having some sort of altercation. Chapman had been advised both parties had called in for a law enforcement response and he was further told that Murray had fired a handgun at Love.
On his arrival, Chapman stated he asked Murray for the firearm he had used in the altercation and Murray provided the deputy with a semi-automatic handgun loaded with one live round in the chamber.
