A Prague woman whose husband was recently charged with four felonies for alleged crimes against minors now faces a single count of neglecting her children.
Lynette Marie Ausborn, 43, was charged in Lincoln County District Court Nov. 7 with child neglect. She appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk on Nov. 3 and her bond is $25,000.
She made her initial appearance on Nov. 13. Her prepreliminary hearing is set for Dec. 21.
Her husband, Lou Earl Nelson, 43, was charged Oct. 25 in Lincoln County District Court with two counts of lewd acts with a child under 16, possession of child pornography and using access to computer to violate Oklahoma statutes.
His bond is set at $200,000. He made an initial appearance on Oct. 31. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 26, 2024.
Ausborn is accused of between Nov. 1, 2022 and Sep. 14, 2023 of neglecting two children by failure to protect them from exposure to sexual acts or materials that are not age-appropriate as a person responsible for the health, safety or welfare of those children.
