Pre-preliminary hearings have been set for a pair charged with felony child abuse.
Megan Marie Nash, 35, Meeker and Jonathon Lee Nice, 36, Shawnee were formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Sep. 22.
A $25,000 bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Nash and a $50,000 bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Nice.
The warrants were returned and filed on both Nash and Nice on Oct. 2.
They are accused of between June 29, 2023 and July 6, 2023 of conjointly committing the crime of child abuse by willfully injuring a child under 18 by striking a six-year-old in the leg with a belt causing injury.
