Lincoln County Commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved an architect for construction of a new OSU Extension Office and named a new Emergency Management Executive Director.

Following a brief executive session, commissioners returned to open meeting and accepted the resignation of EM Executive Director Cody McDonell and appointed Charlotte Brown as the new Executive Director.

Brown has been serving as deputy director.

They also appointed her to the E911 Trust Authority and as interim Floodplain administrator. Once she attends a class, the interim designation will be dropped.

McDonell has accepted a position of District Chief with the Texas Division of Emergency Management and will be based in Austin, Texas.

In other business, commissioners: Approved the annual TASC contract with the Lincoln County Assessor’s Office.

Adopted a resolution to accept a donation from CenterPoint Holdings, LLC for District 1.

Approved a Use Tax Resolution for repairs to a John Deere Tractor in District 1.

Adopted a resolution to accept a donation from 40, LLC for District 2.

Approved a corrected beam transfer form for a bridge in District 2.

Approved beam transfer forms for one bridge each in District 1, District 2 and District 3.

Adopted resolutions for disposing of equipment for District 1 and the Treasurer’s Office.

Took no action on approving the Safe Streets and Roads for all grant.

Proclaimed Feb. 1923, 2024 as Farm Bureau Week in Lincoln County.

Approved a service agreement with Clean the Uniform for the courthouse uniforms.

Agreed to obtain quotes for drinking water services and cleaning services for Fiscal 24-25.

Took no action on the following items: Updating of Lincoln County drug policy.

Defining safety sensitive positions in Lincoln County.

Requiring drug testing for new hires in safety sensitive positions.

Approving policy of random drug testing.
