Lincoln County commissioners during a special meeting this week approved a Memorandum of Agreement with the Kickapoo Tribe for asphalt overlay on Britton Road in District 3.
District 3 Commissioner Lee Doolen, who is also chairman of the commission, explained, “The Kickapoo Tribe is putting in nearly a half million dollars. If we put in $300,000, we can do a three-inch overlay.”
Commissioners also adopted a resolution setting up setting up a Tribal Transportation Account for the Britton Road project in District 3.
They adopted a resolution to increase CBRI funds for that project.
Commissioners also adopted a resolution accepting a donation from A&B Electric for District 2.
They approved a transfer of appropriations and transfer of funds.
