By Mike McCormick Staff Writer Lincoln County commissioners this week approved an agreement with Henson Construction for the new OSU Extension Office at the fairgrounds.
In the motion it was noted that the agreement is approved subject to any adjustments by the District Attorney’s Office.
Last week, during a special meeting, commissioners awarded a bid to Henson Construction Co. for $1,547,000 which was the base bid with the fire sprinkler system as an alternate with a cost of $39,000. That would total $1,586,000.
Henson’s bid said time to construct it would be 42 weeks.
Commissioners also approved a JAG grant application for the Sheriff’s Office for $9,785.
They approved a Route 66 grant application. Commissioners adopted a donation resolution for the Wind Turbine Postage Public Notice.
They agreed to adding Courthouse pictures to the OK Film and Music site as per each elected county official.
In other business, commissioners: Adopted a resolution for an ODOT contract with WSB, an engineering firm, for bridge and approach plans for BR79 over Ranch Creek.
They heard a lengthy presentation from WSB regarding Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant.
Took no action on a remodel of the Child Advocacy Center.
Approved participation in Operation Green Light. Approved a REAP grant application for District 3. Took no action on nominating a board member for the Arlington Fire Department.
Adopted a resolution appointing requesting/receiving/ inventory officers for District 2.
Approved a Lincoln County Emergency Operations Plan amendment.
