Carney woman faces four felonies

A Carney woman, previously convicted of more than a dozen felonies, now faces four new ones following her arrest recently.

Sheneda Ashia McVay, 43, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Oct. 17, 2024 with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon or in the alternative any other attempt to kill, child endangerment by driving under the influence, assault and battery upon a police officer, all felonies.

She also is charged with a misdemeanor of resisting an officer.

She appeared before Special Judge Emily Mueller who set her bond at $10,000 and scheduled her initial appearance on Nov. 7.

In Count 1, McVay is accused on Oct. 9, 2024 of striking Eric McVay, her husband, with a dangerous weapon and stabbing him. Count 2, the alternate, charges her with any attempt to kill, alleging on Oct. 9. 2024 she attempted to kill Eric McVay by stabbing him in the head while stating she was going to kill him with the intent to cause death.

In Count 3, McVay is accused on Oct. 9, 2024 of driving a vehicle containing minor children while she was under the influence of alcohol.

Count 4 charges her on the same day of striking Bailey Tucker on the hands and arms and dug her nails into the officer causing him to bleed with the intent to injure Tucker knowing Tucker was a police officer with the Iowa Tribe Police Department.

Count 5 charges her with resisting an officer.

Supplemental information filed by Assistant District Attorney Rachel Thomson shows multiple felony convictions for McVay.

They include: Nov. 6, 2008, in Grady County District Court embezzlement.

July 15, 2011 in Oklahoma County District Court, a conviction for unlawfully possessing a debit card and unlawfully possessing a signed credit card.

Sep. 19, 2016, in Oklahoma County District Court, bail jumping.

Sep. 10, 2004 in Oklahoma County District Court, falsely personating another and eight other convictions including four counts of identity theft, three more counts of falsely impersonating another and a count of possession of a driver’s license bearing photo of another.

Dec. 20, 2000, in Payne County District Court, larceny from a house.
