OKC man pleads guilty to possession

An Oklahoma City man who was charged just two weeks ago with a felony and misdemeanor has waived his preliminary hearing and entered guilty pleas to both counts.

Boe James Freeman, 18, was formally charged on March 7, 2025 in Lincoln County District Court with distribution of a Controlled Dangeous Substance—including possession with intent to distribute, a felony. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Associate District Judge Joe Dobry set his bond at $20,000 and Freeman made his initial appearance on March 13, 2025 before Special Judge Emily Mueller.

In count 1, Freeman is accused on March 3, 2025 of possessing marijuana and/or OxyContin, a Controlled Dangerous Substance in Lincoln County.

The misdemeanor charges Freeman on the same day with possessing tin foil, torch and/or straw which is used by abusers of drugs classified as CDS and without having any medical or other lawful need requiring possession of the paraphernalia.

Recently appearing before Special Judge Emily Mueller, Freeman waived his preliminary hearing and the two-judge rule. He also waived jurisdictional limitation.

On the state’s recommendation as the result of a plea bargain, Freeman entered a guilty plea on Counts 1 and 2. The Court received the plea and found Freeman guilty as charged.

JudgeMuellerdeferred sentencing for a period of five years, gave him a $100 judicial assessment and $100 VCA along with court costs and he is to pay 991 fees.

The judge placed him on supervised probation with Oklahoma Court Services, ordered Freeman to complete a drug and alcohol assessment and follow all recommendations and complete 24 hours of Community Service within six months. He is to report to the Probation Office and Court’s Office upon release.

Assistant District Attorneys Rachel Thompson and Kelly Trimble prosecuted the case for the state and Freeman’s defense attorney was Kimberly Miller.
