December 31, 1943 – June 3, 2025 Chandler, Oklahoma Roger Dean Foulks passed away peacefully at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the age of 81.
He was born on December 31, 1943, in San Francisco, California, to Roy and Ella (Duncan) Foulks. Roger’s family later moved to Oklahoma, where he was raised in the Wellston and Carney areas. He had made Chandler his home since 1997.
On October 7, 1989, Roger was united in marriage to Vickie Dale in Oklahoma City. Together, they shared 35 years of love, partnership, and family.
Roger worked for many years as a self-employed electrician and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his trade. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors – particularly hunting and fishing -- and even earned his private pilot’s license, where he found great enjoyment in flying as an occasional hobby.
Roger will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his commitment to his work, and his generous, giving heart.
Hewasprecededindeath by his parents, Roy and Ella Foulks; his brother, Donald Foulks; and sisters, Evelyn Bell and Shirley Payne; and a grandson, Dustin Foulks.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Vickie Foulks of Chandler, OK; his sister, PatsyTalburt of Oklahoma City, OK; his children, Mike Pyle and his wife, Cindy, of Moore, OK; Roger Foulks Jr. and Joyce, of Plains, TX; Kim Honeysuckle and her husband, Gary, of Oklahoma City, OK; Scott Pyle and his wife, Celissa, of Blanchard, OK; and Angela Kelley and her husband, Mark, of Chandler, OK.
Roger is also survived by nine grandchildren: Cody Pyle and his wife, Sydney, of Oklahoma City, OK; Alex Pyle and his wife, Madison, of Moore, OK; Kyle Palmer ofAustin,TX; Tyler Palmer of Tulsa, OK; Carley Kellerman and her husband, Seth, of Oklahoma City, OK; Connor Pyle of Blanchard, OK; Jonathan Kelley of Oklahoma City, OK;Abigail Kelley of Chandler, OK; and Bryant Foulks of Dibble, OK.
He was blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Anderson Pyle, Pierson Pyle, Nixson Pyle, Scotlynn Pyle, Kirrah Palmer, Maleah Palmer, Stella Kellerman, and Sutton Kellerman.
Roger’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, including numerous extended family members and friends.
Memorial services were held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel, Chandler, Oklahoma. Interment was in Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, with military honors.
