AHarrah man facing a felony charge following an incident with his girlfriend has entered an innocent plea and been set for the felony disposition docket in January.
Chance Douglas Besse, 34, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on March 25, 2025 with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a felony.
Appearing recently before District Judge Sarah Bridge, Besse pleaded innocent. The judge set him for the felony disposition docket at 9 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2026.
His pre-preliminary hearing was on July 31, 2025. He appeared before District Judge Sarah Bridge on March 24. She set his bond at $10,000 with the condition he have no contact with the victim. He made his initial appearance for on Apr. 10.
Besse is accused on March 21, 2025 of assaulting his girlfriend with a dangerous weapon and threatening to shoot her with a gun with force and violence with the intent to harm her.
