Three suspects were arrested Saturday following an early morning burglary of a grow farm in Lincoln County and authorities believe there are two or three others still at large.
Lincoln County Sheriff Kevin Garrett said the 911 call came in at 6:54 a.m. Saturday from 900155 S. 3540 Road. He reported that’s southwest of Stroud about two miles west off of SH 99.
“The Sheriff’s Office quickly got in pursuit. The vehicle they were chasing took a bad turn and deputies arrested two individuals. Shortly after that, Prague Police Department got a call on a wreck and the individual involved was arrested there and apparently involved in the burglary, too,” the Sheriff reported.
Garrett noted, “We have three total arrested and possibly two or three more are involved. A neighbor called about an hour later about seeing some subjects leave in a car around 8:20 a.m.”
The sheriff said that about 20 officers from various departments and agencies were involved in the investigation including the sheriff’s office, Stroud Police, Prague Police, Meeker Police, Sac and Fox Tribal officers, Davenport, the Highway Patrol and even a game warden.
Garrett added, “They were actually trying to steal marijuana.”
He confirmed no one was hurt in what was apparently first reported as an armed robbery of the grow farm.
“This same farm got hit several weeks ago,” the sheriff said.
