Have you visited the Stroud Library lately? If not, stop by and check out their new mascot, Route 66 Cool Cat. He’s slinky, jazzy, groovy, literary; in fact, one cool cat! It’s a photo opportunity, so stop by and have your picture taken with Cool Cat. The library began in 1907. In 1936 it was housed in a vacant room at City Hall and moved in 1983 to the community activity building. Outgrowing that space it moved to its current location, the art deco historic telephone exchange building. With special grants 2026 will be an exciting year for the library.
