Loyd Eugene Freed was born to Ralph and Leona Freed on November 20, 1945, in Holdenville, Okla. He died Monday, August 26, 2019, at his home in Wellston. He was 73 years old. Loyd retired from Tinker Air Force Base, Midwest City, Okla. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Lonnie Freed. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Donna Garrett Freed, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Patrick Meeks of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and Shelly and Ronald Whitnah of Wellston; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two greatgreat grandchildren; and other family and friends. Services were held Saturday, August 31, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Wellston. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown’s Family Funeral Home in Chandler.
