A memorial will be held for Theda Deianne Buchanan at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2019, at First Christian Church in Stroud. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
Buchanan was born June 10, 1937, in Bristow, Okla., and died Friday, October 4, 2019, at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of Olin and Dorothy Haulcomb, she married Carl Buchanan on October 15, 1964.
She was a school bus driver and substitute teacher for Stroud Schools and a daycare worker at The Clown House. Theda was a member of First Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and her son Charles Brown.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, David and Brenda Brown, Sonja Owens, Shirley and Skip Todd and Rocky Buchanan; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers; and other family and friends.
