Lucky Christian Miller of Stroud was born November 1, 1975, in Shawnee, Okla. He died Sunday, November 10, 2019, in Pensacola Beach, Fla., at the age of 44 years.
Miller, the son of Johnny and Jo An Miller, married Amber Dawn Shields on July 17, 1998.
A 1994 Davenport High School graduate, he began a career in law enforcement as a dispatcher in Stroud. He served as an officer with the Stroud Police Department before becoming chief of the department. In 2007, he became chief of police in Mannford, Okla., where he served until his death. He was a member of Davenport Independent Baptist Church and attended Stroud First Baptist Church.
Lucky was preceded in death by one grandfather.
Survivors include his parents; his wife; three children, Kale, Logan and Carly; one sister and brother-in-law, Katy and Jason Landrum; his grandmother; and other family and friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Davenport First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Bond officiating. Burial followed at Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud.
