Marjorie “Margie” (Myers) Mendez was born to Collin and Ednes (Anderson) Myers on August 5, 1933, in Fayetteville, Ark.
She died Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in Edmond, Okla., at the age of 86 years.
Mendez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raul Munoz Mendez; and her brothers, Robert Myers and Collin Myers Jr.
Survivors include her son Raul Matthew Mendez; her daughters, Frances Alonso, Patty Ponce, Bertha Mendez, Michelle Mendez, Marci Solis, and Raquel Chisholm; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Faith Outreach Center International in San Antonio, Texas with graveside services following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Local arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
