Ruth Strong was born January 25, 1925, in Bristow, Okla. She died Friday, December 20, 2019, in Stroud at the age of 94 years.
Strong, the daughter of Wilson and Garnet (Clark) Holland, married Vern Strong on April 2, 1951.
She was a retired certified nursing assistant and certified medical assistant. She was a member of Independent Baptist Church in Davenport.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Clifton Holland, Frank Holland, Kermit Holland, Kate Holland, and John Holland.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Hank and Gwendy Strong of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her daughter and son-in-law, JoAn and Johnny Miller of Davenport; four grandchildren and their spouses; eight great-grandchildren; her brother Tom Holland; her sister-in-law Jan Clinton; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held Monday December 23, 2019, at Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
