Funeral services will be held for Nelda Ann Armstrong of Cushing, Okla., at 2 p.m., today, February 27, 2020, at Cushing Christian Church with Pastor Jim Forrest officiating. Burial will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Cushing. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Cushing.
Armstrong was born May 22, 1938, in Bucklin, Mo., and died Friday, February 21, 2020, at the age of 81 years.
The daughter of George and Velva Davolt Powell, she married Donald Armstrong on April 30, 1965.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Education at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg and had a career in teaching. She was a member of Cushing Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her daughter Janette.
Survivors include her husband Don of the home; her daughter Janet Carol Riley; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry Don and Julia Armstrong and Gary Lee Armstrong; her brother-in-law Tom Armstrong and wife Judy; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
