He relocated to Red River, N.M., to manage a motel and this is where he embarked on his law enforcement career as a Deputy Marshall for several years. He took a break from law enforcement and returned to Oklahoma where he managed hotels in Chandler and Tulsa, Okla., then, newly divorced, he moved to Mesa, Ariz., where he cared for his ailing mother and worked in the technology manufacturing industry. After his mother’s passing, Bill returned to Chandler where he resumed his law enforcement career by becoming a Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff and was known as a fierce defender and peacemaker. He cherished his family and was loved and respected by most of those he met along the way.

He recently met his long-term goal of purchasing his own home in Stroud, Okla., where he resided with his faithful and loyal dogs Rusty and Summit until his hospitalization and untimely passing and will be forever missed by his family, friends, and law enforcement family.
