Douglas Ben Castleberry (Doug) 63, passed from this life on August 15, 2020 in Stroud, Oklahoma. He was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on October 18, 1956 to Charles Ben and Etta Mae (Winkleman) Castleberry. Doug grew up in and around Stroud and graduated in 1974 from Davenport High School. He married Susan Elizabeth Bilyeu on May 30, 1975 and they spent 45 wonderful years married. Doug worked for Ditch Witch in Perry, Oklahoma as manager and after retirement moved back to the family farm in Stroud.
Doug is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Douglas Ben Castleberry Jr. and wife Allison, and Melody Leeanne Edwards and husband Stephen; mother, Etta Mae Castleberry; grandchildren, Katie Koehl, Miles Edwards, Tristan Castleberry, and Savana Edwards; five great grandchildren; siblings, Chana Owens and husband John, Linda Moring and husband Herb, Gerry Castleberry and wife Alice, Alan Castleberry and wife Tina and Charles Castleberry, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ben Castleberry; and one infant brother.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Stroud Cemetery in Stroud, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma.
