James Lindel Buchanan was born January 13, 1943, in Hinton, Okla. He died Monday, August 10, 2020, in Davenport at the age of 77 years.
Buchanan, the son of Clinton and Ila (Johnson) Buchanan, married Barbara (Green) Buchanan on June 3, 1961.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; his son David Buchanan; five siblings, Richard Buchanan, Jimmy Buchanan, Charles Buchanan, Mertha Ledbetter and Donna Ridenoure; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Debbie and Scott Chaney of Lawton, Okla., Connie Buchanan of Kentucky, and Allen and Becky Buchanan of Wellston; his daughter-in-law Theresa Buchanan of Chandler; sev en grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Jerry Buchanan of Wyandotte, Okla., and Helen Fontenot of Wichita; and other family and friends.
A funeral was held Saturday, August 15, 2020, in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. The Rev. Vance Bowman officiated and burial followed at Davenport Cemetery.
