Jo Ann (Pruitt) Cargill was born August 8, 1930, in Lincoln County, Okla., and died Thursday, August 13, 2020, at her home in Cushing, Okla. She was 90 years old.
Cargill, the daughter of Henry and Treva (Coyner) Pruitt, married John Albert Cargill on September 10, 1948.
A 1948 graduate of Cushing High School, she worked as a cook in school cafeterias and helped her husband run their dairy farm. She also worked as a cashier for Walmart and was a member of Church of the True Followers.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her sister Estelle Solomon; three brothers, Forest Pruitt, H.T. Pruitt and Bob Pruitt; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Debra Ann Kimberlin and Dena Stallworth, both of Cushing, and Karen and John Teters of Stroud; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A funeral service was held Monday, August 17, 2020, in the chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, which handled the final arrangements. Burial followed at Flynn Cemetery in Cushing.
