John Thomas Freeman was born to Larnce and Lucille (Cunningham) Freeman on November 30, 1957, in Cushing, Okla. He died Thursday, August 27, 2020, in Wellston at the age of 62 years.
John worked as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Jay; and three sisters, Lorinda, Sandra and Mary.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Candida Freeman of the home; his children, Latina Simmons and husband Shane of Cushing and J.C. Freeman of Drumright, Okla.; two stepsons and their spouses, Richard and Patricia Smith of Chandler and Daniel and Lacee Smith of Wellston; 12 grandchildren; his siblings, Homer Lyon and wife Nancy, and Margaret Freeman, all of Cushing, Gladys Wiggs of Ponca City, Okla., Barbara Berger of Mi chigan and Lola Lyon of Kansas; and other family and friends.
A funeral was held Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. John’s grandson, the Rev. Joshua Pritchett officiated the services.
