Ila Maxine Bell

Ila Maxine Bell was born to Sam and Amy (Leedy) Auxier on February 23, 1934, in El Reno, Okla. She died Friday, November 27, 2020, at the age of 86 years.

Bell graduated from high school in 1952 in Hydro, Okla., and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Business Degree from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Okla., returning later to obtain her Master of Teaching Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Tulsa, Okla., and she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Meeker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband F. Ray Bell and brother-in-law Homer Barnett.

She is survived by her stepdaughter Kay Cowden of Edmond, Okla.; her sister Marlene Barnett; two step-grandchildren; six great-great step-grandchildren and their spouses ; and other family and friends.

Services were held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Meeker First Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Jones officiating. Burial followed at Meeker New Hope Cemetery. Services were in the care of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
