Ralph Edwin Hall, known to everyone as Eddie, died peacefully in his sleep on February 2, 2021. He was born North of Jacktown, Okla., on December 21, 1930 to Samuel Ralph and Bessie Lou (Wilson) Hall. Eddie was rambunctious as a child and liked horses and fast cars more than school. He married Charlotte Mae Cook on November 14, 1952 and they were married for 66 years. He served his country during the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1956 before returning to his beautiful wife where he continued farming with his dad. He was employed at AMPI from 1961 to 1978. At that time he joined his wife and son in operating the Meeker Hardware store until 1985. He worked as an electrician at the State Capital until his retirement in 1994.
He enjoyed horses his entire life and was a member of the Meeker Roundup Club for many years. Friends and strangers would wave and stop to visit with him as he drove his horse and buggy down the dirt roads around Jacktown and Meeker.
On January 3, 2021 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Charlotte, sister and brother-in-law Ray and Jo Ann Laughlin, brother-in-law R.T. Flowers and nephew Lynn Flowers. He is survived by his children: Brenda Hutchison, Gary Hall and wife Juanita, Regina Holland and husband Bryan, sister Carol Flowers, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who called him Papa.
His humor and straightforwardness will truly be missed.
There will be graveside services only on Friday, February 5 at 11 a.m. at Rossville Cemetery Northwest of Meeker with Mike Hazelwood officiating.
Special thank you to Beth Hooper and Kaycee Brower for their love and care over the last two years as well as Complete Hospice Care.
