Roy Lee Stewart was born on October 19, 1941 in Dardanelle, Ark., to Everett and Grace (Thompson) Stewart. He departed this life at his home on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Stroud, Okla., at the age 78.

Roy graduated Prague High School in 1959. He married Agnes Judy Gerlich in Prague on September 16, 1960 and they were married until her passing January 14, 2018. Roy and Agnes moved to Stroud around 1967 and he worked for Malicoate Chevrolet and Miller Truck Lines. Roy and his brother Gene opened Phillips 66 in Stroud and also opened Stroud Service Center. Roy then worked for Stroud Hospital and helped there in many capacities until his retirement. Roy was a leader of his family and very loved by them all. He was well respected by his family and those in the community that knew him.

Roy is preceded in death by his wife Agnes Stewart, parents Everett and Grace Stewart, his brothers John Thomas Stewart, Gene Stewart and E.H. Stewart.

Survivors include his sons Robert Stewart and wife Gwen, Tony Stewart and wife Kim, and Mark Stewart all of Stroud; his granddaughters Amanda Lawrence, Elizabeth Ball, Adrian Stewart, Amber Stewart, Brooke Stewart, Emily Stewart, and Lei’Ann Stewart; his grandsons Bobby Stewart, Cody Stewart and Cameron Stewart; his great grandchildren Allen, Aaron, Misty, Daniel, Matt, Drew, Rhyder, Rhowan, Rhett, Maisy and Jaymen; his sister Helen Reid; along with numerous family and friends who will miss him dearly.
