Jo Ann

Jo Ann, 85, lifelong resident of Cushing passed on February 25, 2023. Early Saturday morning she went to be with the Lord and to see “her Bobby” once again. She resided with her daughter the last 3 years and then at The Regency in Tecumseh during her last 6 months. Jo Ann was born August 16, 1937 to Pawnee Ellen and Homer Emerson Sudheimer. It was in Wellston where she was raised and attended school. She graduated in 1955. During this time she met Bobby Kinzie. They became engaged Sept. 11, 1953.They were united in marriage Dec. 8, 1955, in the Big Creek Church of the Brethren. To this union, David and Kristye, were born. She was a homemaker all her life. Her joy was in Bobby, her children and making their home full of love. She was a painter, a composer of music and lyrics. She wrote poetry as well. She loved the outdoors, even making their yard their own nature sanctuary. Jo Ann’s relationship with the Lord, her faith and prayer was special, cherished and important to her. This remained with her until her passing. Survivors include her daughter Kristye and Jerry Haynes of Tecumseh; her sister, Janice Sudheimer of Wellston; brother in-law Tommy Bailey of Carney; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby of 50 years, her son David, one sister, three brother in-laws and 3 sister in laws. Service were held March 11, 2023 at Big Creek of the Brethren of Cushing. Following the ceremony, Jo Ann was laid to rest in Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
