Mary Lou Roberts was born June 9, 1933, in Wellston and died Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in Arcadia, Okla. She was 86 years old.
Roberts, the daughter of Raymond and Edna “Violet” Anderson, married Curtis Keith Roberts on August 27, 1955.
A 1951 graduate of Edmond High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business education from Central State College and later earned a Master of Education degree. She taught school for Edmond Public Schools and was active in the First Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond “Gene” Anderson and Howard and Judy Anderson and her brother-in-law Robert Harris.
Survivors include her husband Curtis of Arcadia; her children and their spouses, Dennis and Leslie Roberts of Harper, Kan., Martin and Cindy Roberts of Oklahoma City, Christopher and DeAnna Roberts of Carney, Greg and Angela Roberts of Arcadia, Timothy and Pamela Roberts of McKinney, Texas, and Eric and Kari Steele of Edmond.
She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; her sisters Evelyn Harris of Edmond and Linda Piatt of Naples, Fla.; her sister-in-law Fern Anderson of Luther, Okla.; and other family and friends.
