Mary Ruth Chandler-Cox of Chandler was born January 31, 1937, in Sparks and died Thursday, November 28, 2019, in Oklahoma City. She was 82 years old.
Chandler-Cox, the daughter of Charles Porter Sr. and Mary Polly (Barksdale) Sissons, was married to Glen Chandler until his death in 1972. She married Roy Cox in 1975.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister Rena Faye Taylor, and three brothers, Charlie Sissons, Bill Sissons and Bobby Sissons.
Survivors include her husband Roy Cox; her son Henry Chandler; her sister-in-law, Gearline Sissons; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at VFW Post #1719 in Chandler officiated by Eddie Taylor. Burial will take place at a future date at New Zion Cemetery in Chandler. Final arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
