Ralph Leonard Fickess was born January 28, 1937, in Oklahoma City.
He died Monday, October 20, 2019, at his home in Kendrick. He was 82 years old.
Fickess, the son of Ray Daniel and Willie Edith Slaton Fickess, married Annetta Holiday. He later married Genevieve Terrell.
He worked for the National Fire and Safety Council.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Ralph Fickess, one sister Virginia Fickess and two brothers, Dutch Fickess and Douglas Fickess.
Survivors include his daughters, Virginia Wiggins and Kimberly Farrell, both of Norman, Okla., and Terry Estep of Spring Branch, Texas; his son Devin Terrill of Charleston, S.C., seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2019, at Davenport First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Cushing, Okla.
