Richard Allen Tipton of Chandler was born December 27, 1937, in Davenport and died Friday, October 4, 2019, in Davenport. He was 81 years old.
Tipton, the son of Norman and Florence (Wilson) Tipton, married Barbara Ann Baker on August 18, 1962, in Tulsa, Okla.
He was a 1960 graduate of the Spartan School of Aeronautics and worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Family of Faith Fellowship.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Norman Louis Tipton Jr.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Ginetta Tipton of Fort Smith, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Braeden Alverson of Monument, Colo.; four grandchildren; his sister Suzanne Bollinger; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Davenport Cemetery with Dr. Sam Matthews officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
