Robert Jackson Brown of Meeker was born April 5, 1933, in Meeker and died November 30, 2019, in Shawnee, Okla. He was 86 years old.
Brown, the son of Malcom and Leola (Flowers) Brown, married Ruth C. Boland on November 20, 1952.
He worked as a dairy farmer and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters Marie Lowe, Vada Warren, Nora Brown, and Betty Lo-man; and his brother Dub Brown.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Brown of the home; his children and their spouses, Rick and Cheryl Brown, Ted and Linda Brown, Carl and Sherry Brown, and Deborah Brown Valentine and husband Scott; his brother Louis Brown; two sisters, Juanita Laughlin and Carolyn Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Mammoth Baptist Church in Meeker with burial following at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Meeker.
