Sammy Dean Flatt Jr. was born January 9, 1978, in Ada, Okla. He died Sunday, July 5, 2020, at his home in Chandler following a lengthy battle with health challenges . He was 42 years old.
Flatt, a 1997 graduate of Carney High School, was a mechanic.
His maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Vicci (Mason) Flatt of the home; his father, Sammy Flatt Sr. and his wife Callie of Newalla; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leah and Dusty Townsend of Tryon and Sarah and Tyler Drivere of Newcastle, Okla.; and other family and friends.
A funeral was held Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. Burial followed at Carney Cemetery.
