Yvonne Lois “Vonnie” Koester was born December 9, 1939, in Swanville, Minn., and died Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at her home in Chandler. She was 80 years old.
Koester, the daughter of Leslie and Dorothy Smith, married Harvey Fredrick Koester on September 27, 1959.
She worked at the sewing factory in Chandler and opened a thrift store in Warrick.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and her sister Joyce.
Survivors include three children and their spouses, Randy and Jeanne Koester, Kim and Brent Kautzman, and Rex and Dawn Koester; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Sutton and Dottie Lou Baum; one brother, Les Smith Jr.; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Pastor Chris Griffith officiating. Burial followed at Star Valley Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
