The friendly, organized and professional service provided by the Lincoln County Health Department is greatly appreciated and needs to be recognized for their outstanding service.

My husband and I recently received our first and second doses of Covid Immunization and there is nothing that could have been improved on with this experience.

The website we used to obtain reservation times was simple and straightforward. The site for the appointments was the Route 66 Interpretative Center. The friendly team at the front door was helpful and guided us into the building.

We showed a photo ID since we had completed the required information online and were seated six feet apart in the waiting area, where there really was no wait. We moved on to the personnel giving the immunizations and then to the final waiting area for 15 minutes to be sure there were no reactions to the injections.

Since my 90 year old mother who lives in OKC does not have a computer, I started the tangled, frustrating job of trying to obtain an appointment for her first immunization in her neighborhood through the famous State of Oklahoma website. I would wake up at various hours overnight, thinking that might be a time that would be easier to make an appointment. Wrong. This went on for a couple of weeks and finally, by the Grace of God, I was able to make her appointment at the Oklahoma City Community College in south Oklahoma City. The morning was freezing cold with strong winds and we stood outside for 40 minutes in a crowd of hundreds before they allowed us to come inside and begin paperwork at the first stop. Eventually we made our way to the table for injections. After the injection, there was a 15 minute wait which was normal, then we had another 45 minute wait in line to make an appointment for the second dose.

I am so thankful to live in this small, normal, uncrowded town with friendly helpful people.
