COVID 19 pandemic is still the order of business. We all heard Governor Stitt tell us he is not making the use of masks in Oklahoma mandatory.

We can still use masks at our own discretion. It is my understanding that the Kansas Governor made it mandatory for all to wear masks.

I see numbers for the virus going up every day. Please continue your 6’ social distancing, wash hands often, sanitize all your stuff & continue to wear a mask if you choose.

What a year 2020 is presenting us. Pandemics, plagues of bugs, sandstorms, shortage of coins, historical monuments being taken down, defunding of police departments & more weird happenings.

City Hall was closed Friday, the 3rd of July, so I am writing this article on Thursday with it raining hard outside this afternoon. I hope the rain will not hamper the fireworks display. Now the electricity just went off at approximately 2:15 PM and back on now.

I got a call from the playground co. & they said shipping date was July 27th. This is 2 weeks later than planned, so we are already 2 weeks behind before we really get started. We will hit the ground running hard when it does get here.

Our guys will be drinking a lot of water & gatorade during this construction period and any donations for water and ice to City Hall would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Vision Bank, for your donation of water & for buying playground picnic tables & park benches. Glencrest Park renovation will be a great asset for a long time. I talked to Woodmans

I talked to Woodmans Inc. group who will be buying the Flagpole for the Sub Fire station #2 & they are still in COVID19 lockdown. Flag & pole is still in the plan. I noticed the Firemen placed a metal artwork logo on the side of their new building & it looks cool. Drive by on Oak Street behind Police dept. & see it. A lot of work has been

A lot of work has been done at Meeker Lake. Enjoy Meeker Lake this summer during all these hot days.
