New renovations will be starting at Wellston Public Schools.
During a special school board meeting, the Wellston school board approved a variety of bids for renovations throughout the school system.
- The bid from Jackson Electric was accepted for the baseball field lights at a price of $78,000.
- The bid for the new gym floor was accepted from Gymco at a price of $81,450.
- The bids from Preferred Roofing for the elementary classrooms and the elementary library were approved.
- The price of the roof for the elementary classrooms is $78,390.21 and the price for the elementary library roof is $6,522.80.
- The bid for the middle school classrooms roof was accepted from Danker Roofing for the price of $46,575.
- The board also recognized the resignation of Brenda Prescott.
- Other actions made by board members include:
- Approval to adopt the policy BE-R2, Board of Education Meetings Teleconferencing or Videoconferencing Regulations.
- Approval to adopt the policy BED, Board of Education Meeting Public Participation.
- Approval to adopt policy BE-E (NEW), Board of Education Meetings Teleconferencing or Videoconferencing Regulations Sample Notice and Agenda.
