Chandler hammered Star-Spencer, 41-8, Friday night, setting up a key district clash this week against Millwood, which is 2-0 in district after beating Meeker 40-0 on Saturday night.

The Millwood game will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Millwood, instead of on Thursday, as originally scheduled.

“It went pretty well nice and smooth,” said Chandler coach Jack Gray. “Defensively, we kept them to barely over 100 yards and got a lot of three-and-outs.

“They scored late on a penalty situation.”

Casmen Hill and Spencer Clagg combined for 169 yards and four touchdowns on just 18 carries and the Lions rushed for 254 yards as a team.

“Our offensive line did a great job,” Gray said. “We ran the ball heavy. The line did a great job and the backs found the holes, about like you draw it up.”

Hill scored three of the Lions’ touchdowns and Spencer Clagg and Carson Clagg added one each.

Four Lion receivers caught one pass each, with Darian Mahan going for 50 yards for the longest.

Mahan had an interception, as well, and eight tackles.

Traydon Richardson had eight tackles, including four solos. John Marshall had five stops and Drake Rodriguez, Carson Clagg and Stefaun Mackey had four each.
