Stroud falls at Colcord

Stroud got out to a 14-0 lead in the first half, but fell to Colcord in the first round of the Class A playoffs.

Blake Parrick hit Dylan Collins on a 6-yard scoring pass early in the second quarter, putting Stroud up 6-0, and found him again just before halftime for a 14-yard touchdown.

Colcord cut the lead to 14-13 in the third quarter and then went ahead for the first time early in the fourth period.

Parrick led Stroud’s offensive with 116 yards passing on 11 completions in 17 throws.

Bryce Hughey, Chasen Neuman and Collins had three catches each, with Neuman going for 34 yards, Collins for 30 and his two touchdowns and Hughey for 28.

Stroud finished the COVID-influenced season at 1-8. Colcord advances to the second round of the playoffs with a 9-1 record.
