Child abuse count dropped in McLoud case

A felony charge of child abuse filed against a McLoud man has been dismissed. The charge was filed March 24 in Lincoln County District Court against CW Buffalo Arpoika, 42 following his arrest by Lincoln County deputies last month.

Ready named to SSC board of regents

Robyn Ready, of Chandler, has been appointed to serve as a Regent for Seminole State College. The appointment was made by Gov. Kevin Stitt, confirmed by the Oklahoma State Senate Education Committee on May 10 and will be sent to the state Senate for final approval.
