Dale 4H raises money for SPAR

SPAR-Saving Pets at Risk, a 501c3 charitable organization, recently received a generous donation from the Dale 4-H Club. This donation of supplies for the care of SPAR dogs will be used for the rescues taken in from the tri-county area.

Trial set for Ada woman

An Ada woman charged with first degree manslaughter in the fatal traffic collision that killed a Prague man has been bound over to stand trial. Haley Jordan Price, 30, was bound over recently following the conclusion of her preliminary hearing. Her arraignment has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Jan.

Hearing continued in McLoud case

A preliminary hearing has been continued for a McLoud man facing five state charges after he already had admitted a federal firearms count and was sentenced by a federal judge. Christopher Steven Ledbetter was charged in Lincoln County District Court with five felonies on Sep. 14.

December student Rotarians

Chandler High School seniors Sophia Eggum and Presley Martzall were named student members of the Rotary Club for December 2021. Sophia Eggum, the daughter of Sarah Eggum and Dana Tom Eggum, has one older sibling, Grant Eggum.

NWOSU announces honor roll for Fall 2021

Fall semester honor rolls at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Enid have been announced by the Office of the Executive Vice President. Those on the President’s Honor Roll earned all A’s, or a 4.0 grade point average, in a minimum of 12 undergraduate or nine graduate hours.

Property assessments begin

The Lincoln County Assessor’s office will take exemption applications and personal property assessments Monday, Jan. 3 through Tuesday, March 15, 2022, according to Assessor Jackie Holcomb. Reminders will be mailed to property owners on Thursday, Dec. 30.

More charges for Chandler man

A Chandler man who already had been charged with a felony in November, now faces three additional felony counts. Christopher Allen Michael Hyde, 20, was charged Nov. 10 in Lincoln County District Court with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.

Board of Education Primary Election announced

The Lincoln County Election Board has announced that on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, Primary Elections will be held for Board of Education Office No. 2 in Carney School District and Board of Education Office No. 2 in Prague School District.
